Details: ALL AMERICAN CARTRIDGES are made in the USA newly constructed with REEMAY Filtration Media, proven in the field and lab to deliver: Greater dirt-holding capacity, Better Cleanability, and Superior Durability. REEMAY is constructed from uniform high performance trilobal fibers that stand strong under pressure and holds up to the rigors of multiple cleanings. REEMAY sets the industry standard for filtration media and remains the most trusted fabric in cartridge filtration. THE LENGTH OF TIME A CARTRIDGE LASTS DEPENDS ON SEVERAL FACTORS. THE MOST IMPORTANT IS THE NUMBER OF TIMES CLEANED & HOW, not power washed. In season the cartridge should be cleaned every 4-5 wks. If a lot of debris or algae, the cartridge will need to be cleaned every day until the pool is clear. If not cleaned often the cartridge will collapse. *The swimming season. *The water chemistry. *If the pool is inside a screen. *The number of swimmers, lotions, & pets in the pool, etc. *If the area around the pool is treated for insecticides or fertilized. *Chemicals used to remove phosphates break down the filter media.
